The federal government has promised to introduce a federal minimum wage that is at least $15 per hour and tied to inflation. The time to do that is now. Let’s tell our MP’s that this legislation is critically important, and must pass to lift thousands of workers out of poverty.

While Bill C-213, the Canada Pharmacare Act is slowly making its way through Parliament, a fully implemented universal Pharmacare plan is still far away from a reality. In the meantime, workers, particularly in the hospitality sector, are at risk of losing access to potentially life-saving prescription drug coverage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to keep global aircraft fleets grounded, sending Canada’s aerospace manufacturing sector into a tailspin. The federal government has not implemented any industry-wide measures to protect aerospace workers as thousands face layoffs and an increasingly uncertain future.
